  • Chester County Spelling Bee

    The Chester County Spelling Bee is sponsored by the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) and is a qualifying bee for the Scripps National Spelling Bee. The bee is open to all students enrolled in a Chester County public, private, parochial or home school through eighth grade who meet Scripps’ requirements for participation. Registration must be done through the sending school. Snow Date to be held on Feb. 13.

    The Rorke-Adams Science Fair, part of the Chester County Science Research Competition (CCSRC), is dedicated to encouraging, supporting and developing scientific inquiry and discovery through individual and team science projects conducted by middle and high school students (grades 6-12). We believe that students are the foundation of our nation’s future. Their understanding and accomplishments in science and technology will prepare them to become the leaders of tomorrow and successful citizens in our technologically advancing society.

  • Chester County Academic Competition Championship Match

    The Chester County Academic Competition provides an opportunity for students from 24 high schools to compete in a college-bowl format where students answer challenging questions from a variety of categories including literature, math, science, American and world history, geography, and contemporary events.

  • Chester County High School Art Show

    Over 500 works of art are displayed at the Chester County High School Art Festival and 6th Congressional District Art Show. The week-long show kicks off on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Chester County Art Association, and runs through Saturday, April 20, 2024, with a reception and awards ceremony on Thursday, April 18, 2024. The art show will feature work from students from throughout Chester County. In addition, this year’s entries will also be simultaneously submitted for Congresswoman Chrissy Houlahan’s Congressional Art Competition for students living in the 6th District of Pennsylvania. Each spring across the nation, the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives sponsor a high school art competition with the grand prize winner having their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

    Intermediate units across the state will participate in the 2024 Pennsylvania Academic Competition, where high schools compete in a college-bowl format. Students answer challenging questions from a variety of categories including literature, math, science, American and world history, geography, and contemporary events. Each of the 29 intermediate units in Pennsylvania is permitted to send one high school academic team to participate in the competition

    Competition that tests students� problem-solving skills related to mathematics. Students participate both individually and as part of a four-member team.

  • Knowledge Bowl

    The Knowledge Bowl is a day-long academic quiz bowl competition for students in grades 6-8.     The Chester County Shakespeare Festival is an educational and entertaining event that brings together nearly 200 talented students from Chester County elementary, middle and high schools. Each school is given 25 minutes to perform and adapt a Shakespearean production, provided it stays within the main theme of the original play.
